TEAM OF EXCELLENCE
Founder and CEO. Judith Vickers has been working with real property since 1994. She began her career by performing complex consulting work for several construction companies and businesses in three states. Judith assimilated into the public adjuster profession after being mentored by one of the first professionals in the state of Georgia to hold a public adjuster license. Judith has since attained her Certified Professional Public Adjuster (CPPA), Senior Professional Public Adjuster (SPPA), Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in General Insurance (AINS) accreditations. She is also a founding member, former officer and served as the President in 2015 of the Georgia Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (GAPIA). From 2012 to 2014, Judith was the Chairperson of Professional Education Committee for the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA). From July 2014 to July 2017, Judith served on the Board of Directors and she is currently the Chairperson for Professional Certification for NAPIA.
Director of Client Relations. Jennifer Critchett is a licensed public adjuster with over 29 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before coming to work for BenchMark Public Adjusting Group, she spent ten years from 1999 to 2009 with Allstate Insurance Company as a personal lines underwriter and a commercial territorial risk manager. Prior to her employment with Allstate, she was a licensed insurance agent in North Carolina. Jennifer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has attained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Senior Professional Public Adjuster (SPPA) and Associate in Claims (AIC) accreditations. Jennifer continues to strive for excellence in everything she does for BenchMark’s clients and her profession.
Manager of Real Property. Mike Huckeba is a licensed general adjuster with over 29 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before coming to work for BenchMark Public Adjusting Group, he worked with several insurance companies as an outside residential and commercial property field adjuster from 1988 to 2010. He has an extensive background in scoping, estimating and settling large commercial and residential property losses. He also has experience in working catastrophe events both as a large loss field adjuster and as a team coordinator overseeing and managing a team of field adjusters. Mike graduated from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL with a B.S. in human resource management and computer science. He has attained his Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in General Insurance (AINS) accreditations as well as being a 2017 Windstorm Insurance Network Certified Appraiser and Umpire.
Manager of Personal Property. Marissa Hart has been with BenchMark Public Adjusting Group since 2013. She specializes in personal property re-creations, acquiring recoverable depreciation holdbacks and analyzing inventory lists in order to provide her clients with the money that they are rightfully due. Prior to working with BenchMark, Marissa worked for many years with a non-profit organization. She graduated, Summa Cum Laude from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA with a degree in communications and psychology. Marissa is currently studying for her public adjuster license.
Executive Assistant. From diving with sharks to organic chemistry, Rachael has had a wide range of job experiences. She is a recent graduate of the University of Guam with a Bachelors degree in Consumer and Family Science and a minor in Nutrition. Rachael serves as Judith Vickers’ assistant.
Administrative Assistant. After graduating from PIT with a degree in Data Processing and Programming, Chris decided her passion was best served developing people one on one through a career in customer care working as a Director of Customer Care. She has worked for two major corporations in the catalog industry covering over 25 years. Her passion is taking new companies, breaking down their processes and improving them to impact the bottom line surpassing customer expectations. She was able successfully integrate a multitude of acquisitions, start-ups, partnerships and projects throughout her tenure. Chris has retired from the full-time workforce and enjoys working at BenchMark part-time as the receptionist and enjoys playing tennis with her friends.
Public Adjuster. 18 years of progressively responsible experience in military managing personnel in the United States and abroad. Greg has been on combat tours in Kuwait, Egypt, and Afghanistan. He joined with Benchmark in July 2014 and began working at the firm full-time in Nov 2015 after retiring from the US Army as a Major. Greg also has a BS in Criminal Justice (1997) from GA State University, a MS in Environmental Management (2001) from Webster University and a MM in Military Art and Science (2011) from Air University. He is passionate, treats people with dignity and respect, and create an environment for others to achieve excellence.
Public Adjuster. Jack Taylor is a member of our real property team. He has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and he has obtained extensive skills and experience in estimating losses. Before coming to work for BenchMark Public Adjusting Group, Jack worked as a public adjuster from November 2012 to April 2014, during Hurricane Sandy, handling both residential and commercial losses. He was also a Law Enforcement Officer in the state of North Carolina. Jack continues to keep his law enforcement certification current. He is a licensed public adjuster in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Public Adjuster. Sean is licensed in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Public Adjuster. Greg had worked dual careers between civilian and military industries before joining the Benchmark team in 2015. His work experience encompasses a variety of different professions that include an architectural firm, automotive (Chrysler and GM), and various security companies. Greg was also a partner and trainer as a mortgage consultant with Gateway & Superior Mortgage. His dual career as a Civil Affairs military officer dedicated 37 years of service until his recent retirement. Greg’s primary responsibilities were building trustworthy relationships between the army, civilian authorities, and populations. Greg has extensive experience traveling abroad, including working in the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan. He possesses degrees in Architectural Construction Technology, a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, and a Master’s in Global Business Management.
Administrative Assistant. Melvina Mayers has been with BenchMark Public Adjusting Group since January 2015. Prior to working for BenchMark, Melvina worked in retail and customer service. She graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College with a degree in business management and plans to continue her education at Georgia State University with a master degree in healthcare administration. During her spare time she enjoys volunteering at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, reading and writing poetry.
Public Adjuster. Michael is licensed in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. He has over 13 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to his tenure at BenchMark, Michael was a licensed insurance agent in the state of Georgia and has also worked in the corporate AIG insurance division. He is also an inspector at fossil power plants that shut down for routine insurance regulated inspections.
